![]() ![]() I'm confused: Are you able to install into Crossover, or not? Because above you wrote that, "the option to "Install Software into the Bottle" is ghosted out" but here you write that you were "able to checkmark the settings. Do I need to start over? Also, in changing the userpreferences.ini file, do I add the changes at the top? Do I delete everything else? If I try to load the game to play, it asks about whether I want Direct X 10, which I decline, and then it just shuts down. One is I wasn't able to checkmark the settings until after the game had loaded. Sorry to bother, but I'm having a few struggles. But if you need more help, just come back and ask! Please provide as much detail as you can if you need more assistance.ĭernière modification par Tralfazz à 14h25. You should be able to proceed from there without additional detailed instructions from me. You can (and should) do it later but let's keep it simple until we get LOTRO installed and over the first-run humps. Yes, you should install "DirectX For Modern Games" before you install LOTRO but don't worry about that now. Under the heading SELECT AN INSTALLER SOURCE, click on CHOOSE INSTALLER FILE and point Crossover to the LOTRO Windows installer (lotrolive.exe) which you downloaded earlier from here: At the bottom of the list, click on UNLISTED APPLICATION then click the CONTINUE button in the lower-right of that window. If the bottle is not Windows 10 64-bit, you need to delete your bottle and create a bottle that is Windows 10 64-bit. Be sure that your bottle is Windows 10 64-bit and your bottle settings are checked as shown in those images. Hi, Dave! I'm pretty sure we can fix you up.įirst, scroll back up a bit in this thread and look at the images in Message #193. Before this, on my previous MacBook Pro, I never updated from Mojave, so the game would still run on the WINE client from SSG. Ha! Do proceed without adding the Direct X into the bottle? ![]() However, the option to "Install Software into the Bottle" is ghosted out, so I'm stuck on step 1. I just installed CrossOver and created the bottle per the instructions on post 17. I've tried to glean from this thread, but I'm sure I've missed some things. ![]()
